Plain English Music and Guitar course

The guitar is considered to be an ancient instrument and can be traced back over 4000 years. It was defined to have a long, fretted neck, flat wooden soundboard, ribs, and a flat back, and most often with incurved sides. The term is used to refer to a number of chordophones that were developed and used across Europe in the beginning of the 12th century and later introduced in the U.S. It is possible that guitars originated from Babylonia with the evidence of a 3,300-year-old stone carving of a Hittite bard playing a stringed instrument.

It is the oldest iconographic representation of a chordophone and clay plaques showing people who are playing an instrument that has a strong resemblance to a guitar. To know more about guitars, you can use multihosters. It is a website where you can find several file-hosters that can let you access several files and search more information regarding guitars.

Finger style guitar lessons

If you're a little further down the track with your playing, check out Kirk's fingerstyle lessons. There's nothing quite as satisfying as weaving a bass line, melody line and chord fragments together into one piece of music. Kirk's lessons range from folk, through classical, blues and even jazz.

All the lessons consist of a split-screen video which includes the virtual fretboard, tablature, notation, explicit written commentary, mp3 and GuitarPro files. You will even find some slide guitar lessons there. Check out the free lessons first, the others are available as downloads for not much more than a cup of coffee.
